MIA: Reserving 90% of the Personnel of the SES and National Police

The government to reserve more than 50% of State Emergency Service and National Police employees

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Igor Klymenko, announced on Telegram that the government plans to reserve more than 50% of the employees of the State Emergency Service and the National Police in accordance with a decree. Klymenko emphasized that the ministry is ready to provide reservation to the entire operational staff.

According to the updated decree, 90% of the personnel of the State Emergency Service and the National Police can be reserved. Additionally, 10% of rescuers and policemen can choose to serve in the Armed Forces, National Guard, or State Border Guard Service.

This decision, according to Klymenko, will not affect the operational readiness and efficiency of the State Emergency Service. Previously, reservations were limited to less than 50% of the employees, but a petition on the government’s website gathered 25,000 votes to provide reservation for the entire personnel of the fire service and emergency response service.
