A local resident in Zaporizhzhia is facing criminal charges for stealing nearly a million hryvnias, the regional prosecutor’s office reported. The investigation revealed that the man, who had been previously convicted of crimes, used a password to a military serviceman’s bank card, which was left in his care. Without the owner’s knowledge, he withdrew all the savings from the card amounting to almost a million hryvnias. The stolen money was spent on personal needs, entertainment, and jewelry for his girlfriend, which he later pawned.
