In the amount of 10,000 dollars. Under the procedural guidance of the Khmelnytsky Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the head of one of the departments of the Starokostyantyniv Multifunctional Hospital was informed of suspicion of abusing influence (part 3 of article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The doctor demanded 12,000 dollars from a patient, dividing the amount into two parts: 2,000 dollars for a referral for inpatient treatment and the rest for document processing. The sanction of the article provides for a punishment of imprisonment for a term of 3 to 8 years with property confiscation. During the investigation, the court chose to detain the doctor as a preventive measure. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
