Serious Car Accident in Hrushvytsia Druha
A tragic incident took place in the village of Hrushvytsia Druha on the Kyiv-Chop highway on March 23, where a driver’s negligence led to a fatal outcome. The driver of a «Mercedes-Benz» car with a semi-trailer failed to adapt to the road conditions and maintain a safe speed, resulting in a collision with a stationary «Mercedes» minibus on the shoulder.
As a result, the driver and a passenger of the minibus were injured, with the passenger sadly succumbing to their injuries despite resuscitation efforts. The driver is now facing serious legal consequences, as the preliminary investigation points to his disregard for road safety leading to the tragic loss of life.
The case has been forwarded to the Rivne Regional Prosecutor’s Office, and the driver of the «Mercedes-Benz» could face three to eight years of imprisonment under Ukrainian law for his actions.
