The head of the Unified Coordinating Press Center of the Armed Forces of Southern Ukraine, Natalia Humeniuk, stated:
The attack that took place tonight is already a fairly common tactic of the Russian Federation. «After a certain pause, they resume their attacks. At the same time, they focus on regions that are as deep and further away from the front line, but directly related to supply. Supply, in particular, of those units that operate in the contact zone,» Humeniuk noted.
According to her:
Tonight the Russians attacked the Odessa region through the Black Sea waters, from where the «shaheds» launched their strike with an emphasis on the coastal strip. «It is clear that the enemy does not allow the infrastructure to be undisturbed,» the military added. As a result, damage was done in Odessa to a college and an unfinished building nearby, which, fortunately, has not been inhabited yet.
Humeniuk also emphasized that on February 7:
The Armed Forces of Ukraine recorded attempts by tactical aircraft of the Russian Federation to resume dropping guided bombs in the Black Sea waters. At the same time, occupiers tried to intensify tactical aviation with dropping guided bombs along the front line. According to a representative of the Southern Defense Forces, the settlements of Zmiivka and Kherson were bombed day and night. As a result of Russian aggression in Kherson, three civilians were injured.
Humeniuk highlighted that on the right bank:
The enemy continues deliberate terror using various drones, including those carrying fragmentation ammunition. «At the same time, the enemy is focused on places where civilians gather, and in places where special services work after the elimination of hits,» Humeniuk points out.
