Border guards in the Odessa region detained a transporter and his passengers who tried to surrender to the military. According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, employees of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky unit on the transit section of the Odessa-Reni highway stopped a 41-year-old driver who was trying to take two men to the border.

In Transcarpathia, two men were rescued during an unsuccessful attempt to cross the Ukrainian-Slovak border. The incident occurred on the night of February 15-16 — representatives of the Chop border unit asked rescuers to help two men who were stuck on a tree in the water in a flooded river. It was reported that the men crossed part of the river but became very cold, so they no longer had the strength to reach the shore.
