The Mayor of Kharkiv Addresses City Residents
The Mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov, has addressed the city residents, emphasizing that Kharkiv is currently going through an extremely difficult period.

«We are going through, perhaps, the toughest times in the history of our city. Enemy strikes cause significant destruction and take lives. But I see how you, despite all the difficulties, do not lose courage and faith,» Terekhov said.
United Efforts to Overcome Challenges
He stressed that currently the local authorities, central authorities, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine are acting as a united team, overcoming these challenges together. All efforts are being made to ensure the uninterrupted operation of critical services and to protect the peaceful residents.
Gratitude to Heroes Restoring Normalcy
The mayor expressed gratitude to utility workers, rescuers, and medical workers who, risking their lives, restore normal life in Kharkiv. He also thanked the defenders who are on the front lines, protecting the peace of the city.

«Kharkiv residents, I know it’s hard for you, but your resilience, mutual assistance, and faith inspire the whole country. Together, we will overcome any difficulties and surely restore our city even better than it was. Because Kharkiv has always been and will remain a symbol of courage and indomitable spirit,» the mayor concluded.
Increase in Shelling and Power Outages
Over the past weeks, shelling of Kharkiv has increased. Russian forces are now striking the city even during the day, using new types of weapons. At the end of March, destructive strikes were carried out on the energy infrastructure of the region, and since then power outages have been scheduled in Kharkiv.
