Doctors in Lviv Save Preterm Twins
Doctors in Lviv performed a miracle by saving twin newborns who were born weighing less than a kilogram each. The mother underwent a cesarean section at the 30th week of pregnancy, and the two boys were born weighing 900 grams and 980 grams, respectively.
Urgent Hospitalization and Treatment
After birth, the condition of the twins was critical, and they were rushed to the anesthesia and intensive care unit. Mechanical lung ventilation was provided to help them breathe. All medications were given free of charge, and the babies were fed with donor milk.
Recovery and Care
After 21 days, the twins were moved to the second stage of care. They continued to receive respiratory therapy and underwent various examinations to monitor their progress. Treatment included dynamic observation by a team of specialists and therapeutic massage.
Homecoming
After spending 39 days in the hospital, Maxim and Victor were finally able to go home with their mother. They continued to improve, and on the 72nd day of life, the twins were discharged home successfully. Their journey from fragile newborns to healthy babies is truly remarkable!
