Arsonist arrested in Kyiv for setting car on fire near the train station
A perpetrator who set fire to someone else’s car in the middle of the night near the train station has been detained in the capital. This was reported by the Kyiv police.
It was determined that the criminal approached a parked VAZ car on the side of the road, whose doors were found unlocked, and set fire to the items inside using a lighter. The car was completely burned as a result of the arson.
The arsonist was apprehended and turned out to be a 38-year-old resident of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The man could not explain his actions.
In connection with this, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — intentional destruction or damage of property by means of arson. The perpetrator faces up to 10 years in prison.
