On April 25th, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the bill No. 9453 regarding the calculation of insurance tenure for pensions in Ukraine. This law will allow taking into account foreign work experience.
Changes in Pension Calculation
According to the new law, the pension amount will be calculated proportionally to the insurance tenure acquired in Ukraine, regardless of where the person worked. Work experience in the countries of the former USSR will also be included in the total insurance tenure.
«The conditions of pension provision for military personnel who acquired insurance tenure in the Russian Federation are also being determined. An annual identification of pensioners temporarily living abroad will be carried out to continue their pension payments,» added Goncharenko.
However, the bill did not include a decision to increase pensions for employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau. «But that decision was unsuccessful,» noted the MP, with 303 MPs voting in favor.
