Novak Djokovic injures knee before withdrawing from Roland Garros 2024

Novak Djokovic Withdraws from 2024 Roland Garros Due to Knee Injury

World number one Novak Djokovic recently underwent a knee examination after sustaining an injury during a match against Francisco Cerundolo in the fourth round, ultimately leading to his withdrawal from the 2024 Roland Garros tournament.

After receiving the MRI results, it was revealed that the Serbian player has torn the medial meniscus in his right knee. The extent of the tear may require arthroscopic surgery in the near future.

With this unfortunate turn of events, Djokovic will be unable to defend his title at this tournament and will consequently lose his top-ranked position in the world. His next major point of defense will be at the Wimbledon final, set to take place in the first half of July.
