Ukrainian Farmers Receive UAH 18.6 Million in Compensation for Agricultural Machinery

Ukrainian farmers received compensation amounting to UAH 18.6 million for the purchase of agricultural machinery in May of this year. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

«Agricultural producers actively took advantage of state support, which returns 25% of the cost for purchasing Ukrainian agricultural machinery. In May, 93 agricultural enterprises and farms applied for compensation. We hope that this program will stimulate demand for products from Ukrainian manufacturers and help farmers update their machinery fleet,» said First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko.

The highest number of applications for compensation for purchased agricultural machinery in May came from Cherkasy — 13 (out of 15), Poltava — 21 (out of 34), Ternopil — 7 (out of 7), Dnipropetrovsk — 6 (out of 6), Zhytomyr — 5 (out of 8), Kirovohrad — 5 (out of 8), and Sumy regions — 5 (out of 7).

Within the first two months of the program’s implementation, agricultural enterprises purchased 130 units of Ukrainian-made equipment and machinery for a total amount of UAH 90.4 million.

To take advantage of the state support program and receive a 25% compensation from the cost of purchased machinery or equipment, an agricultural producer must choose a supplier from the list on the Ministry of Economy’s website, purchase the necessary equipment, and submit an application and supporting documents to an authorized bank. Currently, the list includes 7,878 items of equipment and machinery from 86 Ukrainian manufacturers.

In 2024, UAH 1 billion is allocated for the budget program «Partial compensation of the cost of domestic agricultural machinery and equipment».
