Deadly Shelling Incident in Poltava Region
Today, a tragic incident occurred in the Poltava region as a result of shelling, resulting in one fatality and three injuries, one of which is in serious condition. The shelling took place in the Poltava district, causing damage to a school and a kindergarten.
News of the shelling was first announced on social media by the Poltava Regional State Administration. Subsequently, the Ukrainian Air Force reported a fast-approaching target from Kharkiv to Poltava, with explosions heard shortly after in the area.
By 15:00, it was confirmed that the eastern air defense of Ukraine successfully intercepted and downed a guided aviation missile belonging to the enemy, believed to be the Kh-59/69 missile.
