Apple prepares for the release of iPhone 16: Sale on iPhone 15 before the launch of the new model

Apple Prepares for the Release of iPhone 16

Apple is soon to release the iPhone 16 and is actively reducing the inventory of the remaining iPhone 15 units ahead of this event. Sales of the current smartphone model are declining, posing a challenge for the company, especially before the launch of the new generation.

While previous versions of the iPhone still maintain their popularity, a decline in iPhone 15 sales is noted. According to the Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP), over the last three quarters, iPhone 15 sales lag behind those of iPhone 14 for the same period.

All four models of the iPhone 15 accounted for only 67% of Apple’s total smartphone sales volume. In comparison, iPhone 14 had a share of 79% during the same period. The most popular among the iPhone 15 models was the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which accounted for 22% of total sales volume, but this does not exceed the figures for the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The popularity of the iPhone 15 Pro Max may be explained by the presence of a periscopic zoom lens with a tetrahedral prism, available only in this model. The share of iPhone 14 among all devices sold was 17%, and the iPhone 13 accounted for 11%.

Despite analysts’ predictions of moderate demand for the iPhone 16, Apple plans to produce over 90 million units this year. The introduction of the tetrahedral prism lens in the iPhone 16 Pro may make it a desirable model among consumers.
