Outbreak of African Swine Fever Detected in Mykolaivka

On the territory of LLC AF «Mykolaivka» near the village of Mykolaivka in Pryluky district, African swine fever DNA virus has been detected in five domestic pigs. This information was reported by the Department of Civil Protection and Defense of the Regional State Administration.

According to the research results of pathological material from July 3, 2024, the State Scientific Research Institute of Laboratory Diagnostics and Veterinary Sanitary Expertise identified the presence of ASF virus in five pigs that died on July 2-3, 2024, at the farm of LLC AF «Mykolaivka». There are a total of 347 pigs on the farm, and 5 cases of animal deaths have been recorded.

To prevent the spread of the disease, appropriate measures have been taken, including quarantine and disinfection.
