Los Angeles police investigating the death of Matthew Perry have found a connection to underground drug trafficking in Hollywood, Page Six reports.
In the coming days, a press conference is scheduled where possible charges will be announced.
Police have already questioned Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, for her connection to Perry. Another woman, a B-list actress who had a long-term relationship with Perry, is also among the suspects. They were often seen together at public events and photographed together.
Insiders have revealed that access to this woman’s phone may uncover crucial information in text messages.
Former CIA and FBI agent Tracy Holder emphasized that charges could be brought against several individuals as an investigation is underway into a drug trafficking network that illegally distributed prescription drugs through the mail — a federal offense.
