The European Council allocates 50 billion euros to Ukraine

The European Council has confirmed the allocation of 50 billion euros to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility program for the next four years. According to experts, the first tranche of aid could be delivered to the country in the coming months. The majority of the funds will be directed to the Ukrainian budget to cover the deficit, as Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal noted.

Funds to be allocated for social needs

However, according to Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovich, part of the funds will be allocated for social needs, including payments for certain categories of citizens.
