Law on fines for violating curfew not supported in Verkhovna Rada
According to the report from RBC-Ukraine, the law on fines for violating the curfew did not receive support in the second reading in the Verkhovna Rada. People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak noted in Telegram that only 190 deputies voted for the project No. 10195, which is not enough for its adoption.
The bill, proposed last year, provided for fines ranging from 8,500 to 17,000 hryvnias for violators of the curfew, and for repeated violations, fines were to be doubled. Significantly higher fines were also provided for businesses.
This bill was adopted in the first reading in December 2023. The curfew is established in Ukraine due to the martial law, and the time of its operation may vary in different regions. For example, in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, the curfew is from 00:00 to 05:00.
