Lviv Half Marathon: Running for Victory and Unity

In Lviv on May 12, the second semi-marathon since the beginning of the war will take place under the slogan «Run together with Ukraine!»

This event is dedicated to the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, rescuers, medics, volunteers, and all those who actively help Ukraine on the path to victory, as reported by the Lviv City Council.

Participants of the semi-marathon include servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and veterans who have suffered serious injuries, rescuers, volunteers, doctors, and people undergoing rehabilitation at the UNBROKEN center.

Together with special guests, including the co-founder of Nova Poshta Inna Poperekhnyuk, chef Yevgen Klopotenko, showman Anatoliy Anatolich, and blogger Melisa Sadyk, races will be started at various distances:

  • half marathon (21 km);
  • 10 km;
  • 5 km;
  • 1 km (special «Gratitude Run»);
  • team relay;
  • children’s races.

Race packages will be distributed on May 11, and races at all distances will take place on May 12. An online marathon will also be organized, allowing participants to run any specified distance from anywhere in Ukraine or the world.

The participation fee depends on the chosen distance, starting from 300 UAH for 1 km for the semi-marathon and 100 UAH for the online run.

As part of the event, there will also be a special 1-kilometer run — the «Gratitude Run» distance, as well as a short symbolic distance for our Heroes — 70 meters.

All funds raised from registration fees will be directed towards the rehabilitation and adaptation of people affected by the war and undergoing treatment at the UNBROKEN center.
