Permit for Quartz Sand Extraction in Kyiv Region: New Owners and Perspectives

The State Geological Survey of Ukraine has approved changes in the special permit No. 5467 for the use of the quartz sand area «Pidhirna» in the Kyiv region. According to geological studies, this sand can be used as a raw material for the production of glass products, and it is now being studied on an experimental-industrial basis.

Changes in Special Permit No. 5467 Approved

According to information from KU, NADRA.INFO reports the approval of changes in the permit by order of the State Geological Service No. 225 dated May 14, 2024.

«The changes are made due to a change in the owner of the right to use the basis of alienation of a special permit. The previous permit owner, LLC «Korkop Vidobuvannya», transferred the right to use the «Pidhirna» area to LLC «Gamma Development»,» the message says.

LLC «Korkop Vidobuvannya» acquired the right to the quartz sand area «Pidhirna» at an auction held in December 2022. After the company LLC «IBK «Integral Group» from the group of Leva Partskhaladze won the auction with a bid of UAH 10,520,000 but did not redeem the lot, the right to purchase the special permit passed to «Korkop Vidobuvannya,» which offered UAH 7,790,000 for the area.

LLC «Gamma Development» also had the opportunity to purchase the special permit in 2022. At an auction in September, the company offered UAH 10,020,000 for the «Pidhirna» area and took second place, but the lot remained unredeemed.

The ownership of LLC «Korkop Vidobuvannya» belongs to Kristina Volkova (60%), Denis Yaroslavsky (26%), and Olga Tereshchuk (14%).

LLC «Gamma Development» is controlled by Malvina Pidluzhna, Alisa Sleptsova, Hanna Zinchiuk, and Ivan Kopyl (25% each).

PJSC «Kyiv River Port» voluntarily relinquished its rights to the valuable sand deposit «Novo-Ukrainske» in the Dnipro River in 2022.
