Hundreds of Pelicans Return to Lower Dniester Nature Park

Hundreds of pelicans of different species, listed in the Red Book of Ukraine, have returned to the Lower Dniester Nature Park in the Odessa region. These huge birds have resettled near the White Lake and the Dniester Estuary, as reported by the park.

Ideal Conditions for Pelicans

According to local data, the conditions here are ideal for pelicans, which swim excellently and mainly feed on fish. After wintering in Africa, they return here for breeding in the Danube Delta. In addition, pelicans are often found in the Tuzlivskyi Estuaries.
