The socially vulnerable population of Pokrovsk received free firewood for heating
The socially vulnerable population of Pokrovsk received free firewood for heating. This was reported by the Pokrovsk city military administration.
The firewood was distributed upon requests from local residents. The initiative aims to provide socially disadvantaged groups of the population, living in households with stove heating, with the necessary firewood for a stable heating season.
«As part of the city program, we continue to support socially vulnerable groups of the population. We prepared for this in advance and last year we purchased firewood. In addition, we analyzed citizens’ requests during the personal reception of the head of the military administration, as well as those left by residents at the contact center. Lists of people in need of such assistance were compiled and transferred for consideration to the relevant commission,» said Deputy Chief of the Pokrovsk GVA, Oleksiy Stebel.
Municipal workers serve up to 10 addresses daily, delivering 2 cubic meters of firewood to each household.
According to the commission’s decision, 380 owners of private houses will receive firewood.
