In Germany, the police have arrested a 25-year-old man from Syria who injured three people during the screening of a Euro 2024 match in Stuttgart. This was reported by the city police press service on June 27.

According to ZDFheute, the conflict arose during the screening of the Czech Republic-Turkey match on June 26 in the fan zone Schlossplatz. Emergency services quickly responded to the brawl, during which the Syrian citizen attacked people with a knife.

Two of the injured suffered serious injuries and were taken to the hospital. The square, which usually gathers up to 30,000 fans, was temporarily closed.

According to a police spokesperson, the Schlossplatz fan zone is planned to reopen for fans on June 27 at 4:00 PM.

It is worth noting that on June 26, the Ukraine-Belgium match took place, which ended in a 0-0 draw.
