Tragic Road Traffic Accident in Lviv Region
On July 12 at 17:48, the Rescue Service «101» received a report of a road traffic accident in the village of Kurovychi in Lviv region, where a collision occurred between a Subaru Forester car and an «Etalon» intercity bus.
According to the State Emergency Service in Lviv region, rescuers from the cities of Hlyniany, Peremyshliany, and Lviv immediately arrived at the scene. Upon arrival, it was found that the bus driver was trapped and in need of medical assistance, while the driver of the Subaru Forester, a man born in 1963, was already lifeless.
Rescuers used special tools to extricate the trapped bus driver, a man born in 1987, who was hospitalized after examination. The body of the deceased car driver was also removed from the vehicle.
Currently, the police are investigating the causes and circumstances of the accident. 11 rescuers and 3 units of special equipment are involved in eliminating the consequences of the road traffic accident.
