Ukraine to Impose Sanctions on Belarusian Officials Over Crimea Agreements
Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Andriy Sybiha, has announced plans to impose sanctions against Belarusian officials for their involvement in «agreements» with the occupying authorities in Crimea. He stated that Kyiv, together with its partners, is considering the possibility of imposing restrictive measures against these individuals.
Sybiha emphasized that the agreements between the Belarusian local authorities and the Russian occupiers violate international law and are carried out without permission from Minsk. He also stressed that Ukraine is monitoring all illegal actions aimed at undermining its sovereignty and is ready to impose sanctions against those responsible.
Possible Provocations on Ukraine-Belarus Border Reported
Earlier, the Center for National Resistance reported possible provocations by Belarus on the border with Ukraine, aimed at demonstrating strength to China, whose military contingent is conducting training in Ukraine.
