Ukrzaliznytsia Launches New Daytime Train from Kyiv to Sumy

Ukrzaliznytsia has announced the launch of an additional daytime train No. 279/280, which will run on the route Kyiv — Sumy. The train will begin operating on May 18 and will run daily until May 26. The route will be served by a train consisting exclusively of sitting carriages, ensuring a comfortable journey for passengers.

Departure from Kyiv is scheduled for 07:33 in the morning, with arrival in Sumy at 13:19. In the opposite direction, the train will depart from Sumy at 14:50 and arrive in the capital at 20:47. This schedule allows for convenient planning of trips for both business and tourist purposes.

Stops are planned at several stations along the way, including Darnytsia, Nizhyn, Bakhmach, Konotop, Putivl, Vorozhba, and Belopillya. This will allow passengers from various regions to take advantage of the new route and make their journeys more convenient and accessible.

Ukrzaliznytsia emphasizes that the introduction of the additional train is due to high demand on this route and encourages passengers to book tickets in advance to avoid inconvenience and ensure a comfortable journey.
